AI research lab working on machine cognition, home of OpenScientist
Fuzzy Dynamics (FYDY) is a frontier AI research lab working on machine cognition: 'cognitive machines' that learn continuously from experience, with a long-term goal of safe AI that can understand and act autonomously in the real world. It builds OpenScientist, an AI research studio in private beta. Incorporated in 2025 and headquartered in San Francisco with staff in India and the US, it has five co-founders: Alapan Chaudhuri, Shivansh Subramanian, Anvay Karmore, Tanishq Chaudhary and Zeeshan Ahmed. Inc42 reported in October 2026 that it is in advanced talks to raise its first round from Lightspeed and General Catalyst (not confirmed by the company).
