Chip-first frontier AI company building SRAM-based inference hardware
Fractile is a London-based AI chip company building hardware to speed up AI inference. Its chips rely on on-chip SRAM memory rather than the HBM-based approach used by GPUs, and the company has signed a deal with Anthropic and announced plans to invest £100 million in UK operations over three years, including London and Bristol sites. In late October 2026 Sifted reported, from Companies House filings, that Fractile raised about £540 million in a Series C, five months after a $220 million Series B; the company had not formally announced the round at the time.
