Formation is the New York company formed by the October 2026 merger of Solana DeFi protocols Orca and Loopscale. It combines Orca’s trading and liquidity infrastructure with Loopscale’s credit and vault products so issuers can take tokenized assets from issuance to secondary markets and credit. Led by CEO Luke Truitt with Mary Gooneratne as COO, Formation says Orca has processed more than $550 billion in trading volume since 2021 and Loopscale more than $2 billion in loans. Existing Orca and Loopscale apps continue to operate; ORCA remains the network token.
