The physics company: GPU-native simulation and a Physics World Model for engineering design
Flexcompute is a Boston-based company, founded by researchers from Stanford and MIT, building GPU-native solvers for fluid dynamics, electromagnetics, structures and heat, and a Physics World Model that combines neural networks with first-principles physics. Customers use it through Physics Twins of their own products that engineers and AI agents can test and optimise before anything is built. Products include Tidy3D (photonic/EM simulation), Flow360 (CFD) and PhotonForge (photonic chip design). The company says engineering teams at more than 250 companies across aerospace, automotive, semiconductors and photonics use it. On October 12, 2026 it announced an undisclosed strategic investment from Samsung Ventures and Applied Ventures, among others.
