Solving robot dexterity through force and touch sensing
Enact Intelligence is a Zurich robotics startup building robots that sense force and touch through their own motors rather than relying mainly on cameras or separate fragile touch sensors, an approach it says works from simple robot arms to full humanoids. It was founded in March 2026 by Manuel Yves Galliker, who previously led software for 1X's NEO humanoid and worked at Physical Intelligence. In October 2026 it emerged from stealth with a $30 million pre-seed round from redalpine, Notion Capital and firstminute capital, with angels including Arthur Mensch and Yann LeCun; Sifted reported it as Switzerland's largest pre-seed round.
