Clarity, formerly Hiive, is a Vancouver-based financial services platform for the late-stage private market. It started as a marketplace where investors and shareholders buy and sell pre-IPO stock, launched in spring 2022, and rebranded from Hiive to Clarity on September 22, 2026 as it expanded into a broader platform. Alongside secondary trading, it helps private companies run tender offers and shareholder liquidity programs, and the relaunch added a funds marketplace with a resale market for fund interests, an institutional interface that lets large investors anonymously aggregate smaller listings, institutional-grade execution, market data on pricing, supply and demand, and portfolio tracking. The company says it has closed more than $6 billion in transactions and manages more than $2 billion in assets. Its co-founders include CEO Sim Desai, COO Sarah Huggins, chief product and technology officer Stuart Eccles and Prab Rattan (The Globe and Mail).
