Remote maternal and fetal monitoring for high-risk pregnancies
CHD (Connected Health Development) is a medtech company based at the Biopôle in Lausanne, Switzerland, specialising in women's health and remote patient monitoring. Its MONI2 solution pairs a comfortable, machine-washable smart-textile belt that collects fetal and maternal ECG, uterine contractions, fetal movements and position with a smartphone app for pregnant women and a secure web portal giving healthcare professionals raw data and predictive indicators, with the aim of moving monitoring of high-risk pregnancies from hospital to home. In October 2026 CHD received CHF 150,000 from Venture Kick to develop and validate functional prototypes, with a consumer version targeted for early 2028 and a first FDA-cleared medical version planned for end of 2029.
