Drone-powered toolkit for precision grazing that musters cattle autonomously
Brumby (formerly GrazeMate) is a Sydney-based agtech startup building AI drones for precision grazing. Farmers map their paddocks, gates and troughs once, then schedule jobs: the drone plans a route and gently moves the herd to a chosen destination, locates and counts every animal, measures standing dry matter paddock by paddock, and checks water points and fences, with each flight returned as a shareable report on the farmer's phone. It works in remote areas by switching between mobile coverage and a local mode near its base station. Brumby is part of Y Combinator's W26 batch and raised a US$1.2M pre-seed round led by Y Combinator with participation from Antler and NextGen Ventures.
