AI for manufacturing that turns product designs into factory-ready plans and adaptable production
Arda (Arda Industries) builds AI software for manufacturing that turns product designs into factory-ready manufacturing plans and adaptable production processes. Co-founder Bob McGrew, OpenAI's former chief research officer and a longtime Palantir engineering lead, has described it as an interface and agent that does for manufacturing engineers what coding assistants do for programmers, helping them build and change assembly lines much faster. Other co-founders include Augustus Odena (co-founder of Adept) and former Palantir engineers Alex Mark and Jakob Frick. According to CNBC, Arda's models are deployed with defense tech company Anduril, and in October 2026 the company disclosed it had raised $230 million at a $1.5 billion valuation in a round led by Altimeter Capital, Accel and Khosla Ventures.
