Clinical-stage biopharma turning human genetic discoveries into treatments for dementia, skin and autoimmune diseases
Arctic Therapeutics (ATx) is an Icelandic clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that translates genetic discoveries into new treatments for diseases with significant unmet medical need. Its lead programmes are AT-001, an oral treatment studied in hereditary cerebral amyloid angiopathy and Alzheimer's disease, and AT-004, a topical anti-inflammatory for skin diseases that has completed a Phase IIa acne study. Clinical operations are in Akureyri, with commercial operations in Reykjavik and Philadelphia. In October 2026 it closed an oversubscribed US$21.5 million financing led by Pekron, Sanos Group, Kaldbakur and Landvaettir to advance AT-002 and AT-003 toward the clinic, following an approximately US$31 million Series A.
