Experimental-first, AI-enabled platform for discovering allosteric drug targets
ALLOX (Allostery Exploration Technologies, S.L.) is a Barcelona biotechnology company and spin-out of the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG). It combines high-throughput genetics, experimental biology and AI to map the functional hotspots that govern protein folding and interactions, measuring the effects of thousands of mutations in parallel to reveal allosteric, orthosteric and other regulatory sites. It uses this to design selective small molecules against historically hard-to-drug targets such as intracellular protein-protein interactions and transcription factors. Co-founders include Ben Lehner, Júlia Domingo, Pablo Baeza and Andre Faure. On October 29, 2026 it closed a $10.5M (€9.4M) seed round led by Asabys (Sabadell Asabys II) with CDTI and the Institut Català de Finances.
