Building high-performance RISC-V CPUs for AI, cloud and edge computing
AheadComputing is a Beaverton, Oregon chip startup founded in 2024 by former Intel CPU architects, led by CEO and co-founder Debbie Marr. It is designing high-performance general-purpose RISC-V processors aimed at AI, cloud and edge workloads, with its first product in development alongside ecosystem partners including Alchip, Cadence, Skyechip and Tenstorrent. Jim Keller sits on its board. In early 2026 it announced a $30 million Seed2 round co-led by Eclipse, Toyota Ventures and Cambium, bringing total funding to $53 million, and SEC Form D filings show it has since been raising Series A preferred stock.
