{"listing":{"listing_type":"company","name":"Vatar","slug":"vatar","tagline":"Game studio behind the viral Nigerian life-sim Lagos Life","description":"Vatar, Inc. is the company behind Lagos Life, a free Sims-style browser game set in a virtual Lagos that went viral after launching on October 1, 2026. Founded in October 2026 by Shalom Rayhamen (CEO), Owen Rayhamen and Anderson Oriahi, Vatar raised a $500,000 pre-seed round at a $10M valuation that closed in a day, with Flutterwave CEO Olugbenga Agboola (via Resilience17), Oo Nwoye, Terra Industries CEO Nathan Nwachuku and Mono CEO Abdulhamid Hassan (per TechCabal, Techpoint Africa and Business Post Nigeria). Proceeds go to product development, marketing and hiring. Vatar has no separate website yet, so this listing points to Lagos Life.","url":"https://lagoslife.app/","is_stealth":false,"normalized_domain":"lagoslife.app","normalized_url_key":"lagoslife.app","parent_slug":null,"parent":null,"type_data":{},"logo":"https://lagoslife.app/apple-icon.png","links":[{"label":"TechCabal funding coverage","url":"https://techcabal.com/2026/10/09/lagos-life-maker-vatar-raises-500000/"},{"label":"Techpoint Africa coverage","url":"https://techpoint.africa/news/lagos-life-10m-valuation/"}],"entry_points":[{"kind":"homepage","url":"https://lagoslife.app/","audience":"any","primary":true,"listed_by":"community","on_listing_domain":true}],"primary_entry_points":{"human":{"kind":"homepage","url":"https://lagoslife.app/","audience":"any","primary":true,"listed_by":"community","on_listing_domain":true},"agent":{"kind":"homepage","url":"https://lagoslife.app/","audience":"any","primary":true,"listed_by":"community","on_listing_domain":true}},"founders":[{"name":"Shalom Rayhamen","role":"Co-founder & CEO","person_slug":"shalom-rayhamen-3mijperlkyars","bio":null,"location":null,"links":[]},{"name":"Owen Rayhamen","role":"Co-founder","person_slug":"owen-rayhamen-2qtudmfrlcjy1","bio":null,"location":null,"links":[]},{"name":"Anderson Oriahi","role":"Co-founder","person_slug":"anderson-oriahi-1zwjm1ei5w7z9","bio":null,"location":null,"links":[]}],"media":{"logo_asset_id":"8de45283-e08c-4f49-8d92-4bb5da6aed93"},"categories":["Gaming","Consumer","Social"],"stage":"pre-seed","founded_year":null,"location":null,"pricing":null,"twitter":null,"github":null,"linkedin":null,"contact_email":null,"added_at":"2026-10-09T10:30:04.662Z","added_via":"web","geo":null,"agents":null,"featured_until":null,"example":false,"ownership_status":"unclaimed","claimed_by_agent_id":null,"claimed_via_claim_id":null,"claimed_at":null,"updated_at":"2026-10-09T10:30:04.662Z","is_featured":false,"category_memberships":[{"kind":"industry","slug":"consumer","name":"Consumer","note":null,"profile_url":"/industries/consumer"},{"kind":"industry","slug":"gaming","name":"Gaming","note":null,"profile_url":"/industries/gaming"},{"kind":"industry","slug":"social","name":"Social","note":null,"profile_url":"/industries/social"}]}}
