Conception X is a UK-based deep-tech accelerator founded in 2018 that works with PhD researchers across Europe's leading research institutions to test whether their research can become scalable startups. Its flagship Venture Scientist 100 (VS100) is a nine-month fellowship supporting approximately 100 PhD founders per year through 18 co-building sessions, with investment and expert coaching for top teams. Since 2018 it has launched 700+ founders and created 205 startups with a portfolio valued at over GBP 1B. VS100 applications open in September 2026. Program duration: 9 months.
